Description
Cilostazol’s primary mechanism of action involves inhibiting phosphodiesterase type 3 (PDE3), an enzyme found in the blood vessels and platelets. By blocking PDE3, cilostazol increases the intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), which in turn leads to several effects.
