Description
Rabeprazole sodium, is a substituted benzimidazole that inhibits gastric secretion. Inhibition of the proton pump by rabeprazole is partially reversible. It has 2- to 10-fold greater antisecretory activity than omeprazole but it dissociates more readily from H+,K+-ATPase than omeprazole, therefore it has a shorter duration of action.
