Description:
Briax 20mg Tablets contain piroxicam, an NSAID used to relieve pain and inflammation. It works by inhibiting the production of substances in the body that cause inflammation and pain. This medication is commonly used to treat conditions involving joint and muscle pain, swelling, and stiffness.

Indications:

• Relief of symptoms related to arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis
• Treatment of ankylosing spondylitis
• Management of acute musculoskeletal pain and inflammation
• Relief from pain caused by soft tissue injuries
• Treatment of painful menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)

Dosage and Administration:

• The usual adult dose is 20mg once daily, preferably taken with food to reduce stomach irritation
• Dose adjustments may be necessary for elderly patients or those with kidney or liver issues
• Tablets should be swallowed whole with water; do not crush or chew

Side Effects:

• Common side effects include stomach upset, nausea, headache, dizziness, and mild skin rash
• Serious side effects may include gastrointestinal bleeding, allergic reactions, swelling, or changes in kidney function
