Description

Primary Uses 

Indications 

This medicine is used in septicaemia (blood poisoning by bacteria), endocarditis (infection in the heart), lung infection, urinary tract infection, skin infection and soft tissue infections. 

Side Effects 

This medicine can cause pain at injection site, allergy, stomach upset, convulsions (involuntary movement of the body), disorders which decrease white blood cell types (neutropenia, leucopenia), increased liver enzymes and blood urea, positive coomb’s test (test which detect antibodies against red blood cells). Please consult your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. 

Warnings 

Pregnancy 

Please consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant. 

Lactation 

Please consult your doctor before using this medicine when breastfeeding. 

Precautions 

Please consult your doctor before using this medicine if you have kidney disease or if you are allergic to beta-lactams (antibiotic). In beta-haemolysis (blood disorder) continue this therapy for atleast 10 days.
