Erythrocin 100 MG Tablet

Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. This prevents peptide bond formation and blocks the growth of bacteria, making it effective against a range of bacterial infections.

It is indicated in Susceptible infections in patients with penicillin hypersensitivity (e.g. respiratory-tract infections (including Legionella infection), skin and oral infections, and campylobacter enteritis),Prevention of pneumococcal infection in asplenia or in patients with sickle-cell disease (if penicillin-allergic),Prevention and treatment of pertussis

Anorexia, allergy, rash, photosensitivity, arthralgia, oedema, angioneurotic oedema, anaphylaxis, abnormal liver function, hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, dizziness, vertigo, convulsions, headache.Rarely hearing impairment, erythema multiforme. Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidemal necrolysis, hepatic necrosis, hepatic failure, neutropenia, taste disturbances.
