Description
Diclofenac potassium is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. It is most commonly used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as acute and chronic pain. It achieves this by blocking the enzymes that trigger inflammation and pain. Furthermore, diclofenac potassium also reduces the production of prostaglandins, which are known to be the main inflammatory mediators that trigger anti-inflammatory and pain responses in those with osteoarthritis.
