Description
Salmeterol is a long-acting beta-adrenergic agonist (LABA) that functions by relaxing the muscles around the airways, increasing airflow into the lungs and helping to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath. Fluticasone Propionate, on the other hand, is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and irritation in the airways. It accomplishes this by inhibiting the release of substances that cause inflammation and narrowing of the airways, such as histamine and cytokines.
