Take this medication with meals and with full glass of water.

Primary Uses 

Bacterial Infections 

Indications 

This medication is used for the treatment of respiratory, skin and soft tissue, and urinary tract infections. 

Side Effects 

As side effects, this medication can cause GI upset, inflammation of oesophagus, oesophageal ulcers, allergy, rash, photosenstivity, liver dysfunction, blood disorders, anxiety, headache, hypertension, dry mouth, back pain, and superinfections. There are also reports of serious skin infections, tooth discoloration, and enamel hypoplasia. 

Warnings 

Pregnancy 

This medication is contraindicated in pregnancy, and hence should not be given in pregnant females. 

Lactation 

This medication is contraindicated in lactation, and hence should not be given in lactating mothers. 

Alcohol 

Please avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine. 

Precautions 

This drug is to be given with caution in liver impairment, and Myasthenia Gravis. Avoid exposure to sunlight or UV light. There is also a risk of superinfection and oral candidiosis (oral thrush). 

Contraindications 

This medication is contraindicated in patients with history of yeast infections, kidney diseases and myasthenia gravis (neuromuscular disease).

This medication should be taken 12 hours apart. However, Consult your doctor before taking this medication. 

How long should I wait to eat after taking this medication? 

Take this medication at least an hour 

Is bad is this medication for me? 

Use of anti biotics such as this medication has been associated with an increased risk of vaginal candidiasis . 

Precautions: 

The patients with hepatic (liver) impairment, myasthenia gravis (muscular disorder), risk of superinfection (infection occurring on top of an existing infection), and oral candidosis (mouth infection) should use this medicine cautiously. Please avoid exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light.
