Indications:

Hytrin 1mg is indicated for:

• Essential hypertension (used alone or in combination with other antihypertensives)

• Off-label use in ureteral stone passage facilitation (as per clinical discretion)

Dosage and Administration:

• Hypertension (initial): 1 mg once daily at bedtime (to minimize risk of orthostatic hypotension)
• Maintenance dose: 1–10 mg once daily, adjusted based on blood pressure response
• BPH (initial): 1 mg at bedtime, titrated gradually up to 10 mg daily if needed
• Should be swallowed whole with water; can be taken with or without food
